Since then, under Ciordas’ leadership, Bannersnack has added an analytics component, allowing users to track and optimize engagement with their personalized banners easily and efficiently. The app has over 2 million users, and is used to create over 2,000 banners every day.
A banner ad is more than just an image you see at the top of a page. It is truly a valuable internet marketing tool, and Ciordas has mastered the art of optimizing banner ad usage. He explained that Bannersnack released its analytics program so that users could gain a more comprehensive understanding of where its banner sees the most traffic and in what ways. The analytics program tracks views, CTR, clicks, and the devices that people use to view a banner. It is the first program to integrate a heat map to display where in the US the banner is garnering the most attention.
For now, Ciordas wants to focus on optimizing banners to achieve a company’s desired results on the right platform for the right user. But, the CEO predicts that in the next year or two, banners will be advertising from two main perspectives: search and social. “If advertisers want the consumer’s attention, then these ads need to express the fact that you are there to help them and answer their questions,” he said.
In fact, one of Ciordas’ most important tips for internet marketers is to never forget the customer. No matter how fast your company or a component of your company is growing, Ciordas warns against getting so caught up in the growth and chaos that you forget to communicate and maintain a relationship with your customers, the very people who are allowing for this growth to take hold. Get to know your customers and reassure them that what you are putting out is to help them and to improve their everyday lives in some way.
